*great big sigh*
Liberty of London announced their
new season of fabrics, and they are all so delicious (and of course ludicrously expensive... still, a gal can dream). There are several collections - my favourites from each are on my
Pinterest Liberty love board. But my absolute favourites are below
(click on the pictures for more details/colourways).
Look away now if you fear temptation!
The last one is my absolute favourite - I love it in every colourway! It's created from a watercolour painting of a chaotic bookcase in the writing room tucked away in the gardens of Glencot House in Somerset. Too too lovely.
Ah well... I'll just have to drop lots of hints and leave swatches lying about in the weeks leading up to my birthday.
Back soon with a FO!
speak soon x
Oh my goodness, these are beautiful! Temptation is an understatement!
ReplyDeleteI know!!! Though I've learned that if I wait a year, they pop up on ebay at about half the original price. Still quite pricey, but if I'm still mad on a fabric, I might just treat myself.
DeleteOh god, I've just made the mistake of clicking on the Liberty link. So many BEAUTIFUL fabrics! This is torture, I've got an appointment in town tomorrow which involves walking past Liberty.... I could just go in and stroke them I suppose! x
ReplyDeletehaha - yes, it sounds mad, but I sometimes go in and drape myself in a lovely fabric, imagining the beautiful dress I could create. Then I mentally tot up the sums, put the fabric back, and slink out again. x
DeleteSigh. So lovely. I particularly like the Umbria one.
ReplyDeleteArgh! Too pretty! Like you, I might keep these in mind for my birthday. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the first and the last one! Its definitely worth keeping an eye on Ebay for bargains. Do you know of www.shaukat.co.uk ? They are already advertising some of these designs as "coming soon" at around £13/m. I have even found older Liberty prints at my local fabric shop in Liverpool at £5/m
ReplyDeleteyes, Shaukat is brilliant - I've visited the shop a few times, but always come away empty handed (shocking, I know), because there's just too much to choose from - it's quite overwhelming!
DeleteDrool... damn you, temptress!
ReplyDeleteBeauty! It's the first for me
ReplyDeleteoooh I love the last one too! I love the different shades blue together with the hints of red and purple!
